We run three weekly road rides, two on Sunday mornings and a Thursday evening ride during the lighter summer months. All our rides are no-drop social events, we always re-group at the top of climbs and nobody is left behind. It is mandatory that both Sunday rides include a coffee stop and the Thursday evening ride to end in a beer garden!
On the first Sunday of the every month – both the Sunday Swift and Sunday Social rides combine for a Sunday Super Social to maintain maximum club chit-chat.
Our faster-paced Sunday ride covering a distance of 60-80km at upwards of 26km/hr. Depart at 8:30AM.
Our more relaxed ride with mandatory coffee stop, covering 40-60km at 22-24km/hr. Depart at 08:30AM.
(running through the summer months)
Our mid-week social ride ending in a beer garden - what's not to like! We typically cover 30-40km at 23-25km/hr. Depart at 6:30PM.
Once a month the ladies of the club get together for a social spin around the roads of Hampshire on the look out for the best cake. These rides typically cover around 40km at whatever pace is comfortable for the group. These are hosted on Saturday mornings and the date dictated by when best suited to ensure maximum attendance!. Come on Ladies, get involved!
Although we do not organise regular off-road rides, a lot of our members are inspired by Wout and Mathieu and claim to be multi-disciplined. You can often find many of them shredding the local trails on their MTB and CX bikes!
Off-road rides are organised on an ad-hoc basis by our members. But you will always find somebody willing to ride some single track.
All our rides are posted on our Strava club page along with the expected pace of the group. We ask all riders to be considerate of others and choose rides that are suited to their current ability.
During the winter months, our club rides are organised more on an ad-hoc basis as the road conditions and weather deteriorates. However, we are a hardy bunch so more often than not there will be rides organised most weekends and if not, you can always find somebody on Zwift.
On occasion, you may see other, ad-hoc events pop up on our Strava page. This is because our members just love riding their bikes sometimes two days a week is just not enough!
